| Abstract:This paper analyzes the formation mechanism of boulder in weathered strata,and explores the boulder horizontal and vertical distribution
regularity. We propose that in the boulder-bearing granite strata,comprehensive methods of engineering geological,geophysical and drilling surveys are effective. And 3 methods of determining boulder content percentage are presented,i. e. ,special survey of soil-rock ratio,using previous investigation data and excavated cross sections in site and calculation of real amount of boulder. This study may provide new insights for addressing issues of excavation and evaluation in the earth and rock engineering,and has guidance significance for the similar projects. |
